Everyone has a true home. Buddhism means becoming completely independent: not dependent on God or Buddha or your understanding. If you completely become your true self, there is no life or death, no coming or going.

Zen Meditation Instruction

If you are new to Zen, you are invited to attend our meditation instruction class held every Thursday evening. It is recommended for new students prior to attending a formal practice session to be introduced to our forms. You are welcome to repeat sessions led by various practitioners for different perspectives.

The last Sunday and Tuesday of each month will feature zoom participants first for interviews.

Young Zen

Begin or deepen your practice in community with other students and young adults. Each session includes sitting meditation, a check-in, and then a short talk or reading about how to integrate Zen practice into everyday life followed by refreshments.

BIPOC Group

This Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) practice group is a bi-monthly gathering of self-identifying BIPOC practitioners that provides a safe place to meditate and explore a mix of sitting and walking meditation, readings, and dharma sharing about our experiences and practice in everyday life.

Elder Zen

How does Zen practice relate to our experiences of aging? Join us in a supportive community at the Cambridge Zen Center to explore this question through meditation and discussion. We will begin with 15 minutes of sitting meditation, followed by a reading and group discussion … then refreshments! All are welcome, and instruction is ofered for anyone new to meditation.
