March 2-day YMJJ Retreat with Kwan Haeng Sunim, JDPSN
Sitting a retreat provides a rare opportunity to investigate your thought patterns for an extended period of time. Through this investigation, you can strengthen your understanding of your innate wisdom and compassion.
Monthly “Yong Maeng Jong Jin” retreat consists of two days of near-continuous practice. "Yong Maeng Jong Jin" is a traditional phrase that means “to leap like a tiger while sitting.” Anyone can make this leap and transform their life sitting a YMJJ.
Retreat schedules consist of sitting and walking meditation, work period, formal meals in the Dharma Hall, and one-on-one Kong-an interviews with the Teacher leading the retreat.

BIPOC Practice Group
This Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) practice group is a monthly gathering of self-identifying BIPOC practitioners that provides a safe place to meditate and explore contemplative practices. This sangha cultivates an environment that welcomes diverse voices and builds community. In a typical practice group, we enjoy a mix of sitting meditation, walking meditation, readings, and dharma sharing about our experiences and practice in everyday life.
BIPOC Group meets 1st Wednesday of the month on Zoom
Meeting ID: 884 2813 9726

Dharma Talk
Weekly Dharma Talks feature an introductory talk by a practitioner offering attendees insight into their personal experiences with Practice. Following the introductory talk a Zen Teacher will engage with questions from the room. Attend in-person or on Zoom.
Meditation Instruction for Newcomers
This introduction to meditation is offered weekly for those new to Cambridge Zen Center or meditation practice. We recommended attending prior to attending a practice session. The class offers an overview of Dharma Room forms, meditation instruction, and an opportunity to hear from an experienced Zen Student about their practice. You are welcome to repeat sessions. Meditation Instruction is offered person.
You are welcome to stay for our weekly Dharma Talk directly following the Introductory Class
Tuesday Long Sitting & Practice Interviews
Three sitting periods of 30 minutes each with 10 minutes of walking meditation in between periods. You may join or leave practice during walking periods.
Consulting Interviews will be offered with Bo-Mi Choi, Senior Dharma Teacher. Consulting interviews are an opportunity to have one-on-one time with a Teacher and ask questions about Zen practice or situations in your life.
Zoom practice is available. You may join the Zoom meeting at 7:25-7:30 PM, 8:00-8:10 PM or 8:40-8:50 PM. If you are new, please arrive 10-15 minutes early for brief instruction on our practice forms.
